No Rest for the Wicked operates a downtime system to compliment the main events. This are designed to handle supplementary in character actions and background endeavours that are outside the scope of the main events. As these are additional service there is a charge for downtimes to cover the extra time and work they involve for the storytellers, but in return the Storytellers guarantee that any downtime will be processed within an agreed time scale and will be of a quality level in line with all of our game related events.

You will not suffer from character death in downtime. Our downtime system is set up such that all PCs will survive, no matter the threat - though they may take other losses. Should actions be directed against your character that could result in your character's death, it may be resolved at an event.

The process for downtimes is as follows:

  • If you played a character at the event immediately preceding the downtime submission period then you are entitled to submit an individual character downtime without charge.
  • If you crewed the event immediately preceding the downtime submission period then you are entitled to submit an individual character downtime without charge. This is a sign of our appreciation for event crew members.
  • If you did not attend the preceding event and wish to have a downtime processed, the standard fee for an individual character downtime is £5 which can be purchased as a "Downtime ticket" for the event immediately following the downtime period

For full details of the formatting and examples of the sort of actions that can be submitted as part of a downtime please see the downtime system.
