=== Early Life ===
Tempus was recruited at the age of twelve to join the Imperial Guard academy within the Ruhort Sector. After three years of intensive training, he was deployed to the battlefield. Within his first year of deployment, at the age of sixteen, he awakened as a psyker. He was quickly shipped off to the Black Ships, and trained to control his psyker abilities.

=== Breaking Point ===

As a powerful sanctioned psyker for the Imperial Guard, Tempus looked into the fate of Harlequin. Seeing that broke his mind, and forced him into a state where he had to wear a mask to ‘keep the thoughts in’. Thanks to his service to the Guard, and that his 'break' did not appear to pose a risk to those around him, he was forced into cryosleep shortly after.

=== Valhalla's Regards ===
He was later discovered, and recruited, by [[Tomas J Rexuz|Lord Captain Rexuz]] as he ‘might be useful’. Initially, he had a difficult time adapting to his new life as part of the rogue trader crew, often feeling the compulsion to ask permission for even the most mundane of tasks. He also had a great deal of difficulty establishing exactly when he was in his own timeline, often answering questions that had not yet been asked, making reference to events that had not yet happened, or responding to things that had happened weeks ago.

Over time, he began to become more independent, thanks to the support of both his crew, and the example set by the psykers of other dynasties. However, he still had difficulty grounding himself in the timeline. To help with this, [[Tomas J Rexuz|Lord Captain Rexuz]] gifted him a pocket watch, so he could always refer to it in order to tell "when now is".

=== A New Arborian ===

After hunting a basilisk along side [[Spider]], she took it upon herself to recognise Tempus as an adult, and marked him with the blood of the beast (causing quite the issue, given the blood was toxic). Later, she adopted him as an arborian, after putting him through an Aborian Rite of Passage, so that he may have a people to call his own. He is now often seen wearing his bandana with pride.

=== Sacrifices ===

Due to unfortunate circumstances that occurred during a ritual to stop the Fulga Anima, Tempus has lost his memories of his time prior to awakening as a psyker, along with his ability to speak High Gothic.

=== Spare to the Heir ===

After proving himself as a capable and trusted (if somewhat unwilling) leader, by being trusted with the leading of a ritual that could have given him godlike powers, and instead choosing to stop anyone else from ascending in such a manner, and for taking up the position of Acting Lord Captain during an absence of [[Tomas J Rexuz|Lord Captain Rexuz]] and [[Florentius Sweetwater|XO Sweetwater]], Tempus is adopted as the second son of [[Tomas J Rexuz|Tomas Rexuz]], and second heir to the Rexuz dynasty.

=== Prophecies of Matrydom ===

Along with the current members of his dynasty, Tempus found himself prophesized to become a matyr for one who was to become a saint. Tempus was over the moon at this revelation, as there is no greater honour than to die for the God-Emporer and be met by his warm embrace in a final act.

Though absent from the excursion that it occured from, Tempus was hit rather had by the death of Sweetwater.

During the Sanguinalia festivities, Tempus received a vision of what he was to become. He was to join up with Fate. Prior to this, Tempus has been rather certain that such a thing did not exist, as the future was always possibilities and branching pathways, but this felt '''certain'''. Seeing a golden figure serving the God-Emporer beyond death, then fading away into dust, scared Tempus. He had always assumed that upon his death he would get to join the God-Emporer. But he was uncertain if this was the fate of the figure he saw. But, after having words with [[Stenberg|Archbishop Stenberg]], he decided that he'd just have to have faith that he would, or that, at least, his soul would be doing a great service to humanity.

It has been suggested that Tempus is actually the name of the mask, and that the personality known as Tempus is the personality of the mask, similar how each harlequin mask is different. Artemisia's first appearance on Arkangel was in attendance at a birthday gathering for [https://wiki.norestforthewicked.org.uk/Arkady_Borovich Lord Captain Borovich] whereupon she horrified her brother, made a great many arrangements for adventures, and refused to leave.

She still refuses to leave.

She has professed herself a xenobotanist, general xenographer, and a pilot. Her mechanical knowledge seems highly specialised towards breaking security systems. Most recently she helped reacquire [[Regimental Mascot Elizabeth]], and so now finds herself with a new creature to learn about now her initial enthusiasm for squigs has passed.

The eighth child in the Blair family dynasty, and thus in line to inherit nothing whatsoever.
