Forge Ichadon

Description

A Great forge built by Arkangel.

The construction of a Great Forge has met with rejoicing from the Cult of Mars. Forge Ichadon was lit with a controlled nuclear explosion, cracking the planetary crust to cause a huge geothermal event and in so doing has lit the great foundries and awoken the Machine Spirit.

A titanic entrance made of carved and reinforced marble leads to the munitions labs, manufactorums and forges. On its arch, an engraving in thick gothic script reads:

When you sail amongst the endless stars, when you face the enemy of man, take heart in the knowledge that He is with you. In your weapons, in your ships, in your engines of war. For we are the mailed fist of His wrath and where He reaches, we shall grasp.

Gothic and baroque pillars line the entry, each has a plaque which lists out the following Dynasties in various levels of prominence:

House Rexuz
House Tollman
House Lupus
House Kasputin
House Victoria
House Cerastes

The carvings of each house emblem of each dynasty spiral around the top and bottom of the pillars.

A central platform with a half pillar has carved servo skulls around its top and base with the following inscription in gothic script, circling it:

“Pride is not a sin. Hubris is not a failing. Ambition knows no bounds. The Stars are yours if you have but the strength to grasp them”

Mechanics

Dynasties receive a permanent discount on raising Naval Patrol Groups.
Dynasties receive a permanent +1 bonus to the following DownTime actions:

• Attack
• Muster
• Defence

Dynasties may now purchase downtime modifier components or any uptime ship component upgrades. Forge Ichadon counts as the obscure prerequisite required.
(Uptime ship component upgrade refers to any ship part that is in the main rulebook under Void Ship Components; Rulebook Ch 8.3)
Uptime Upgrade: 800M
All void ships have space for 4 Modifier Upgrades, with each Ship starting with a +1 upgrade for free.
Each Modifier Upgrade can be applied to one Stat or Activity Only
Additional upgrades can be slotted to improve Void Ship stats for the costs below;
Downtime modifier upgrades:
+1 - 800M
+2 - 1700M
Alternatively a ship may have some form of enhanced device or system installed in a slot instead. One such device allows an additional dice to be rolled for a particular action type (chosen upon purchase), discarding the lowest number rolled.
Bonus Dice to one action type - 7500M
Additional Enhanced Devices may be found lost or hidden in a Dynasty's travels.
Any Component can be sold back to Forge Ichadon for 25% of the price of new.
