Information Known by Arkangel Society

Formerly a Lady Commander (and Head of Engineering) in the Imperial Navy, Octavia Viria Lupus and her Dynasty are new arrivals to Arkangel, having claimed their warrant while on salvage duty. They found an armada of ships drifting through space, now crewed only by the dead and, as a group, claimed one single ship as their own personal share of the take. With that ship, unknown to the Imperial Navy, came a Rogue Trader warrant. So now Lupus and crew are across the line, starting anew, for better or worse. But still in their Naval blues.

Lineage

Octavia Viria Lupus is the (imaginatively named) eighth daughter of the then Planetary Governor of Selix Prime (since deceased), part of the Virii - a clan of powerful planetary nobles with a nasty reputation.

Rumours

• Very precise when on duty. Chaotic drunken dervish when off duty.
• The Rogue Trader warrant was assigned by drawing lots. Lupus has never confirmed if she won or lost.
• The black sheep of her family. She failed them in some way that she doesn't like to think about.
• Likes engineering a little too much for a lady.

Inspirations: It was said once that 'Imperial Navy wear excellent swooshy coats' and that was really it. I suppose there is a dash of Kayleigh from Firefly in there, plus the Lady Captain from Treasure Planet, and maybe a little bit of Starbuck from Battle Star Galactica. But mostly it's 'swooshy coat'.
